About
Dr. Gareth is a UK-trained consultant with extensive experience in fetal therapy and fetal surgery. At Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital, he works alongside Dr. Werner Diehl and Dr. Leanne Bricker in our fetal therapy team.
He has particular expertise in structural fetal heart conditions and rhythm disturbances, combining detailed assessment with counselling and treatment planning. He offers CVS, amniocentesis and fetal blood sampling, and brings experience in therapeutic fetal procedures. He has worked in Abu Dhabi since 2024 and participated in the fetal therapy and surgery service at Corniche Hospital.
His research includes neonatal outcomes after intrauterine transfusion, monoamniotic twin pregnancy and inflammatory pathways associated with preterm birth. His practice also includes cervical length assessment and cervical cerclage when indicated, linking prevention, diagnosis and specialist care throughout pregnancy.
