This scan, also referred to as a morphology scan or anatomy scan, is the most detailed structural survey of the pregnancy, checking all major organs, the placenta, and baby growth. We highly recommend scheduling it at 18 weeks (before 19 weeks) to allow optimal diagnostic and intervention windows.
While highly accurate for major structural issues, no scan can detect 100% of anomalies, nor can it detect functional or behavioral conditions like autism.
