About
Dr. Howaida is an experienced consultant obstetrician and gynecologist in our Al Ain team, with a special interest in fetal medicine. Her work supports women through antenatal assessment, ultrasound and discussion of prenatal findings.
She completed specialist training in the UK and has worked in the UAE since 2004, including ten years at Tawam Hospital. Her further training includes an advanced obstetric and gynecological ultrasound diploma and an international master’s in maternal–fetal medicine from Barcelona. She brings experience in first-trimester screening, detailed fetal assessment and counselling when an abnormality is suspected.
Her published work includes UAE maternity research, including a study of antenatal anti-D prophylaxis in the Mutaba’ah birth cohort. She contributes to the team as an obstetrician and gynecologist, drawing on her additional fetal medicine training.
