About
Dr. Leanne is a consultant in maternal–fetal medicine with extensive experience in fetal treatment and the care of complicated twin pregnancies. At Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital, she is part of our fetal therapy team alongside Dr. Werner Diehl and Dr. Gareth Waring.
Her clinical work includes fetal blood transfusion, fetoscopic laser treatment for shared-placenta twin complications, and fetal bladder and chest shunts, as well as advanced ultrasound and invasive prenatal diagnosis. She previously co-directed the fetal medicine unit at Liverpool Women’s Hospital for a decade, then developed and led tertiary fetal medicine and therapy services at Corniche Hospital.
She co-authored the RCOG Green-top Guideline on monochorionic twin pregnancy, including its update published in 2025, and co-edited Management of Multiple Pregnancies: A Practical Guide. Her consultations bring this clinical and academic experience to the explanation of complex findings and the planning of further care.
